Bag Bug, LLC is a Dallas-based fashion start-up founded in September 2014.
The idea for the Bag Bug® was born in late 2012 from the curiosity and need to somehow fix or at least reduce the constant frustration and pain experienced when wearing a purse every day and from the belief that luxury and style could and should be combined with comfort and functionality.
The idea was further developed to make Bag Bug® not only a functional product, but also an accessory for the fashion-conscious women who appreciate comfort and high-end luxury style.
Bag Bug, LLC has a strong motivation for giving back to the community.
The founder’s uncle had a horrible accident when he was young leaving 80% of his body burned. He spent years in the care of Shriner’s Hospital in Galveston, and thanks to his incredible will, the strength of his family, and the wonderful staff of doctors and nurses, he was able to recover and walk again. He is a brilliant man and a successful entrepreneur. He is happily married and has two beautiful daughters. His story has played a key role in Isabel’s life inspiring her to dream big, never give up, and work hard.
Isabel has also watched her aunt and sister suffer from the incurable auto-immune disease, Lupus. Their struggle and daily pain have and continue to deeply affect how she approaches life. Currently, there is no cure for Lupus but she hopes that her donations will help advance the research further.
For Isabel, her company’s goals are a natural extension of her empathy for others.
Isabel has always been curious, rebellious, and unaccepting of the status-quo.
As a child she always questioned everything, searching for how and why things worked a certain way. She always did the opposite of what her mother told her, broke a few rules in school, and never settled for the typical “because I said so” answers.
She is an innovative and creative thinker with a diverse cultural background. She has lived in several countries over the years, and has enjoyed learning multiple languages which she continues to use today. Combining her passion for helping others, her sense for trend-setting fashion, her background in business, and her entrepreneurial spirit, Isabel decided to take a leap of faith and launch Bag Bug.
